My name is Shahryar Ahmed, and I have sat the IELTS more than once - first when I moved to Canada, and again for my permanent residence application. Both times, the same score stood between me and the next chapter of my life.
I got there through consistent, deliberate practice, and eventually scored Band 8.5. But getting there was harder than it needed to be. The good coaching was expensive, the free resources were generic PDFs from a decade ago, and almost nothing gave me the one thing that actually moved my band: honest, specific feedback on what I was doing wrong.
